​​The Smith family features five generations. Seated in the center is matriach, Ruby Smith Lambert, 88, holding her great-great-granddaugher, Rayna J. Kimmer. The mother of three, including James F. Smith, standing on the left; grandmother of four, including Blair Smith Kimmer, standing in the center; and great-grandmother of six, including Sam Kimmer, standing on the right, is a lifetime resident of Stanly County. Mrs. Lambert is a charter member of Highland Baptist Church.
