SALISBURY — In honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, Tuesday is Paint the Town Purple Day.

Trinity at Home, a local home care agency, will be placing purple ribbons and balloons throughout downtown Salisbury, and people are encouraged to wear purple or put a purple bow or ribbon on their homes or trees.

The Rowan/Cabarrus Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Sept. 17 at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis.
