Rowan weather: Less hot today, chance of rain

With highs in the low 80s, today will feel much better than Thursday, although there is a slight chance of showers and storms.

This morning, the chance is 20 percent, then clouds increase and we reach a high of 83. North northwest wind will blow at 5-10 mph this morning. This afternoon has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, some of which may reach severe levels.

Tonight’s chance of rain is 30 percent, with a low of 61. Northeast wind will pick up to 9-14 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph. Thunderstorms could bring brief, heavy rainfall.
