Rowan weather: Another day in the sauna

After a foggy start, we will end up with a mostly sunny, muggy day. The high will be 93, with west northwest wind at 3-8 mph.

The air quality is not good, but code yellow, or moderate. Unusually sensitive people may be affected. Both ozone and particle pollution will be the problem today.

Tonight, we have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m. The low will be 70, with west southwest winds at 6 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Friday also has a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. Clouds will increase, and the high will be about 10 degrees cooler, 83. North wind will blow at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. Little rain accumulation.

The chance of rain continues Friday night, with showers and storms before 7 and showers after that. It will be mostly cloudy with a refreshing low of 61. North northeast wind will blow at 10-14 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph.

It’s going to be a nice Father’s Day weekend, perfect for cooking out. Saturday will be sunny and 79 with more northeast wind at 11-14 mph, and gusts as high as 21 mph. Saturday night will be clear and 58. Leave the windows open.
