Rowan weather: Hot, then a short break

Colin has moved on and we’e in for a warm day, but a hotter weekend.

Today will be sunny and 87, with west northwest wind at 5-13 mph, gusting up to 21 mph. Tonight will be clear with a low of 59 and west northwest wind at 5-8 mph.

Wednesday will be less hot, with sunny skies and a high of 78. Northwest wind will blow at 5-10 mph in the morning. A clear night will lead to a low of 55, with north wind around 6 mph.

Thursday will be sunny and 80, with breezes from the north northwest around 6 mph in the morning. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low of 60.

The heat returns Friday with mostly sunny skies and a high of 87. The low will be 68 under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday we head up to 91 degrees, with mostly sunny skies. The low will be just 70, with partly cloudy skies.

It will be 94 on Sunday, a scorcher. It will be mostly sunny, too. The low will be 69.

Mostly sunny Monday, too, with a high near 90.

If this is a hint of the summer we can expect, it’s going to be a very hot one.
