My Turn: Education or indoctrination?

I have to ask myself, every time I read an article about education, are our children being educated or indoctrinated?

I’m sure there are a lot of good intentions and some good teachers out there, just as there are a few good schools out there, most of which are private or Christian-based. Just like anything you let government control, you get liberal ideology, instead of true education. It seems all teachers are concerned about is pay and tenure, we all should have to prove ourselves daily at our jobs, if you aren’t doing yours, I’m sure someone just as qualified would be glad to have a job starting at $35,000 a year and all the government benefits that go with it.

Everyone wants to have more, but let’s face it, under Obama, just be glad you have a job. Under this administration, about one third of Americans don’t. I know with advancement in technology, children are learning at a much faster pace today than when I was in school in the 1960s and ‘70s, but what are they learing? I know every generation has to be a little radical, but when I see the so-called millennials and the generation in college now, I have to wonder if America will survive.

It is not possible that United States history is a mandated course of the curriculum anymore. It seems as though kids are taught that America owes them a $100,000-a-year job as soon as they come out of college. If U.S. history were being taught, children would not be backing a socialist to be elected as president, and then you have Bernie Sanders.

The liberals in America want to erase history and religion from our books because it may offend someone. It’s not just books, it’s monuments, statues, flags or whatever symbolism it may be, cause it offends somebody.

Good or bad, it is our American history. If it offends you, ignore it, or as a great American, the late justice Anthony Scalia, might have said, “get over it.” Classes are being taught in colleges today in “white privilege” trying to indoctrinate into young minds, that the evil white man is bad. What does this in anyway serve to better our already strained race relations? A situation in which I thought we had come a long way until Obama came into office.

History class, taught properly, may have shed light on civil rights, a law written with good intent, bastardized by many, not to give a form of equality for all, but to be used to destroy our moral fiber, remove God from our schools and every facet of our society. As I say, the Civil Rights Law of 1963, a law intended to bring equality, is being used to destroy America.

If you don’t believe me, read or Google  “the center for security policy” then read “An Explanatory Memorandum”…..a must read for all who are concerned about the Muslimization of America, something we can’t do anything about because we might offend them or violate their “civil rights,” at least until they kill you or your family. I guess somebody will call me a racist for my views. If that’s what you think, so be it.

After all, I’m one of those white-privilege Republicans who happens not to be rich, not in dollars, anyway, I’m nearly 60 years old, have worked hard and still do every day for what little my lot in life has allowed, no one gave me anything and I haven’t gotten it from Uncle Sam or taken it from you. If our history, the good and the bad, isn’t taught to our children, it is bound to repeat itself. Erasing history is one way Hitler rose to power. Teach your children socialism and communism are not good things; after all, sooner or later you run out of other people’s money to spend. Democrats believe in the same philosophy. I thank GOD for what I have and who I am, for it is riches much more than money can buy.
