Rowan weather: Nice today, then clouds, rain move in

After a perfect weekend, we’re headed toward a cloudy, sometimes rainy week.

Today will be another beautiful day, mostly sunny with a high of 69. Winds will be mostly calm, becoming east northeast at 5 mph.

Tonight, a 30 percent chance of rain develops, and it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 56 and south southwest wind at 3-5 mph.

The chance of rain for Tuesday is 70 percent, with showers likely, then thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be cloudy and 74, with more southwest wind, 3-8 mph. Between a tenth to a quarter inch of rain is possible.

Tuesday night’s chance of rain is 60 percent, with more showers and storms. The low will be 60, with less than a tenth of an inch of rain expected.

Wednesday has a 40 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 71. Northeast wind will blow at 5-8 mph. It’s a 50 percent chance of showers Wednesday night, with a low of 56.

The chance of rain goes down to 30 percent for Thursday, mainly in the norming. It will be partly sunny and 71. Thursday night’s low will be 56.

Friday will be partly sunny with a high of 74, but then we have a 40 percent chance of showers Friday night, with a low of 58.

Showers are likely Saturday, with a 60 percent chance of rain. It will be mostly cloudy with a high of 72. The chance of showers Saturday night is 50 percent, with a low of 59.

Sunday, too, has a 50 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 72.
