SALISBURY – On Thursday, Novant Health will host Ladies’ Night Out from 5 to 8 p.m at the West End Plaza Event Center to bring awareness to women’s health issues, while supporting the Rowan County United Way. The event will offer free health screenings, and women of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Ladies’ Night Out will provide free screenings for bone density, balance, blood pressure and diabetes, as well as featured beauty and fashion vendors. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served, and attendees may enter to win prizes. Participants will receive information on services from across the community. A $10 donation to the United Way will serve as admission, and no registration is required.

“This is a great opportunity for women in the community to come together and receive free screenings,” said Jessica Ijames, manager of community engagement for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. “Women will be able to receive free health screenings, eat, shop and enter to win prizes all while benefiting the United Way.”

Ladies’ Night Out aims to promote women’s health and provide a comfortable, relaxing environment for women to get their annual mammogram screening and other valuable screenings. Women will also be pampered with chair massages and mini-manicures. Vendors will sell items such as jewelry, clothing and personalized pieces that would make great gifts. Food and beverages will be served.

Vendors will include Greystone Salon and Spa, Chicka-Jen’s Sign Co., Jamberry Nails, AnnaCraig Boutique, Winsome Hanger, Abigail’s – A Cake Affair, Cauble Creek Vineyard, Morgan Ridge Vineyards, Salisbury Eyecare and Eyewear, Foot’s Delight Neuro Reflexology, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Belk, YMCA of Rowan County and more. All vendors will have items available for sale, and Virtual Sounds will provide entertainment and a photobooth.

The West End Plaza, also known as the old Salisbury Mall, is at 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. W. For more information, call Jessica Ijames at 704-210-5630.
