Rowan weather: Warmer week ahead

The heat is on this week, and with the heat comes an almost daily chance of thunderstorms, just like summer, even though it isn’t here yet.
Today will be partly sunny and 83, with west southwest wind at 5-8 mph in the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 63 and south southwest wind at 3-5 mph.
Tuesday will be partly sunny, too, with another high of 83 and more south southwest wind at 6-11 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers is possible after 11 p.m., with a low of 64 and continued south southwest wind at 3-7 mph.
Wednesday has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with more partly sunny skies and a high of 84. A 30 percent chance of showers and storms Wednesday night, with a low of 64.
And there’s a 40 percent chance of showers and storms Thursday, with partly sunny skies and a warmer high of 85. The same chance of rain and storms goes into Thursday night, with a low of 63.
For Friday, it’s another 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, perhaps starting in the morning. It will be partly sunny and 80. The low Friday will be 57, with no mention of rain.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 79 and a low of 54.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and cooler, with a high of 73.
