SALISBURY — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office added a sex offender to its most wanted list after they say he failed to notify them of a change of address.

George Issac Graves Jr., 64, was added to the list Thursday after it was determined he moved. Officials said he was originally convicted in 2014 of sexual battery. He has a number of other convictions including attempting to escape from prison in the 1970s, worthless checks, assault on a female, armed robbery, habitual felon, breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.

He is described as a black male, he is 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 217 pounds.

Authorities say his last known location is in the Salisbury and East Spencer areas.

Anyone with information about the location of George Issac Graves Jr. is asked to contact Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Detective Bacote at 704-216-8772.
