Rowan weather: Cooler, chance of rain

It’s going to be a cool, damp day with northerly winds, a spring day. Summer-like conditions return Sunday.

There’s a 30 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms this afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 62. North northwest wind will blow at 8-11 mph, gusting up to 18 mph.

Tonight, we have a 60 percent chance of showers and a chilly low of 47. The north northwest wind will continue at 8-11 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. The rain accumulation will be up to a quarter inch.

Friday has a 40 percent of showers, with thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be mostly cloudy again, with a high of 68. That old northwest wind will continue at 6-14 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. Only about a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, except higher in thunderstorms.

Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a low of 50 and west northwest wind at 5-7 mph.

Sunny Saturday, with a high of 75 and more west northwest wind at 5-10 mph. The low will be 58.

Then it’s back to the 80s, with a high of 83 Sunday under mostly sunny skies. The low will be 58.

Monday will be mostly sunny, too, with a high of 82 and a low of 62.

Partly sunny Tuesday, with a high of 83 and a low again of 62.
