Camo Up for Vets May 28 in Mooresville

MOORESVILLE — Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum at Richard’s Coffee Shop will host its first “Camo Up For Vets” 5K on May 28. The event will begin and end under the trees in the parking lot behind Richard’s Coffee Shop at 165 N. Main St. on Memorial Day weekend.

Registration for the run is available at QueenCityTiming.com. Each registered runner will receive a “Camo Up For Vets” shirt, custom-designed by 1st Choice Apparel of Mooresville and a commemorative dog tag. Local Patriot Guard riders will provide direction to runners and add to the patriotism of the event along the route. Awards will be presented to overall first-, second- and third-place men and women in seven age group categories.

Mooresville Ford is the Four Star event sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include Bestco, 1st Choice Apparel, Gerry Wood Auto Group of Salisbury, NASCAR Technical Institute, Purple Heart Homes, Lake Norman Awards, The Sign Post, PCM of N.C., Inc., and Acuity Healthcare.
