Rowan weather: Keep an umbrella handy

We got some much-needed rain last night, and we still have a 70 percent chance of showers today. After that, the forecast gets rather repetitive.

Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, and it will be cloudy, with a high of 68. Winds will be calmer than yesterday, at 5-8 mph from the south southwest. We hold on to a 30 percent chance of rain tonight, mainly before 9 p.m. The low will be 45, and the wind will shift to the northeast at 3-6 mph.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny and 62, with winds from the northeast at 6-11 mph, gusting up to 18 mph. The low will be 41, with winds at 6 mph.

Mostly sunny Thursday, too, with a high of 63 and northeast wind at 6-10 mph. The low will be 42.

Mostly sunny Friday, with a high of 65 and a low of 44.

Saturday will be a little warmer, with a high of 68 and mostly sunny skies. The low will be 46.

Sunday will be warmer yet, with a high of 73 and a low of 50.

And sunny skies for Monday with a warm high of 78.
