Fire Marshal: Harrel Street house fire ruled arson
Fire officials say a late Monday night fire at a vacant house in the Fairview Heights community was arson.
Salisbury City Fire Marshal Terry Smith said no one lived at the home, 618 Harrel St., and there was no power to the house. He said no accelerant was detected yet through the fire investigation.
“We talked to the owner, and he said he’s had problems with people breaking in,” Smith said.
Salisbury City Fire, Spencer Fire, Granite Quarry Fire and Faith Fire departments responded.
