Local Bridge with Myrnie McLaughlin

What a wonderful and special week-end for Salisbury and her players. The Dogwood was the first opportunity for many of them to compete in a tournament and a good time was had by all. So many of you have expressed excitement for tournament play and look forward to another one.

Of our Salisbury players Bill Wisdom won the Wallace Trophy awarded to the local player earning the most points with second, Pat Featherston and third, Dick Brisbin.

The Bob Lemmon award for the most points earned by a non-Life Master went jointly to Fern Albracht and Christy Cline. Incidentally, they were tied for fourth place for over-all points earned in the whole field of players.

Congratulations all.

Thank you all for your attendance and donations of refreshments. No one went hungry. All is appreciated. Thanks too to Debbie Suggs who catered our Saturday and Sunday lunches.

Our Tuesday, March 15 Women’s Club game was small but competitive. Winning first were Pat Macon and Judy Gealy; second, Marie Pugh and Dick Brisbin.
