WVAC Exhibition: Celebrating Rowan County’s Young Artists

Waterworks Visual Arts Center is proud to celebrate and exhibit the talents of our community’s young artists at the 33rd Annual Student Exhibitions: Celebrating Rowan County’s Young Artists.

This special exhibit features artwork created by students in private, independent and home schools, and public elementary, middle, and high schools in Salisbury-Rowan County.

These exhibitions are an outreach program for the museum that celebrates the outstanding efforts of the art specialists who teach the creative process, as well as showcasing the extraordinary talents of Rowan County’s youth.

WVAC is currently featuring the works of Rowan Salisbury Schools elementary students from Bostian, Cleveland, Enochville, Faith, Hurley, Landis, Millbridge, Morgan, Mt. Ulla, China Grove, Granite Quarry, Isenberg, Knollwood, Koontz, North Rowan, Overton, Rockwell Shive and Woodleaf.

Admission is free and the exhibition is open through March 26.

The next exhibit, scheduled for March 31-April 20, will feature the RS middle schools with a reception April 7 from 5-6:30 p.m.

Followed by the high schools exhibit April 23-May 14 with the reception on April 28, from 5-6:30 p.m.

Waterworks Visual Arts Center is located at 123 E. Liberty St. in downtown Salisbury. Admission is free, donations are appreciated. Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p m. Saturday, 10 a.m.– 2 p m. For more information, visit www.waterworks.org or call 704-636-1882.
