Mooresville man charged with indecent liberties
A Mooresville man has been charged with indecent liberties with a child following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Wesley Wilson, 65, has been charged with six counts of indecent liberties with a child related to incidents that occurred with an 8-year-old from October 2013 to June 2015.
The victim was interviewed by the Dove House Advocacy Center. Numerous witnesses were also interviewed, and information they provided supported the report.
Wilson was arrested on Feb. 5 and given a $15,000 secured bond. Wilson appeared in court Monday, with another court date set for Feb. 16.
Another Mooresville man, a convicted sex offender, has been charged with failing to register his address.
Lee Earnest Williams, 33, is accused of not verifying his address with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on a preset schedule.
Registered sex offenders are required to appear in person every six months at the Sheriff’s Office to verify their address and other information.
These verifications are done in addition to home visits conducted by officers.
Williams was arrested Jan. 19.
