Rowan weather: Watch out for winds

We should finally see some sun today, but it will be cool and quite windy. The high will be 46 and north northwest wind will blow at 9-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, making it feel much colder.
Winds calm tonight and clear skies allow the temperture to drop to 26.
Saturday will be sunny again, with a high of 48 and light winds. The low will be 29.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and a bit warmer, with a high of 52. North wind will blow at 3-8 mph. The low will be 30.
Monday is when the weather gets a little hard to pin down. There will be a 50 percent chance of rain in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. The high will be 48. The National Weather Service says there’s a chance of rain and snow showers Monday night before 1 a.m., then a chance of snow from 1 to 3 a.m. The low will be 28, but the chance of precipitation is just 30 percent.
Rowan County Weather forecaster Steve Monday says there’s a 50 percent chance of isolated rain showers that may change to snow flurries in the evening. Monday also predicts a small (20 percent) chance of snow flurries Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says Tuesday will be partly sunny and 43, with a low of 25.
Wednesday should be mostly sunny with a high of 38 and a low of 22.
And Thursday should be sunny and 42.
