Rowan weather: Damp today, storms tomorrow

We’re under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m. this morning.

The rest of the day will be cloudy and we’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers later in the day. The high will be 53 with east northeast wind at 7-11 mph.

The chance of rain goes up to 50 percent tonight, with patchy fog forming around 11 p.m. The low will be just 52. South southeast winds will blow at 8-10 mph.

Rain is likely Wednesday morning, then we may see some thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a high of 66. Winds will be 13-16 mph from the south with gusts up to 26 mph. The chance of rain is 90 percent; up to a half inch of rain is possible.

The chance of rain Wednesday night drops to 40 percent, but still with a chance of thunderstorms. The low will be 45, with south southwest wind at 5-9 mph, shifting to the northwest after midnight.

Things start to calm down on Thursday, with just a 20 percent chance of showers before noon. It will be partly sunny with a high of 52 and north wind around 7 mph. Thursday night’s low will be 31.

Friday will be sunny and cooler, with a high of 48 and a low of 26.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high around 50 and another cold low of 28.

Sunday we warm up again, to a high of 55 with mostly sunny skies. Then a 30 percent chance of rain moves in Sunday night, with a low of 35.

Monday will have a 40 percent chance of showers, but with mostly sunny skies and a high near 53.
