…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST SATURDAY…
* HAZARDS…A SIGNIFICANT ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY.
* TIMING…MODERATE SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES…IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA DURING THE MORNING HOURS. SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE OVER TO SLEET…MIXING WITH BRIEF PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN THIS AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION BACK TO SNOW THIS EVENING AND WILL CONTINUE TO FALL INTO SATURDAY.
* CURRENT ACCUMULATION FORECAST…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 8 INCHES…ALONG WITH UP TO ICE ACCUMULATION RANGING FROM AROUND ONE-TENTH TO THREE-TENTHS OF AN INCH ACROSS THE COUNTY. THE HIGHER SNOWFALL WITH LOWER ICE WILL OCCUR IN THE WEST WITH LESS SNOW AND MORE ICE ACCUMULATION IN THE EAST AND SOUTH. (SEE ATTACHED GRAPHICS).
* IMPACTS…SNOW, SLEET AND ICE ACCUMULATION COULD MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY…AND COULD COMBINE WITH GUSTY WINDS TO RESULT IN SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES.
* WINDS…NORTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES…UPPER 20S TO AROUND 30 DEGREES.
