Man charged with trafficking methamphetamine

James Patrick Myers, 43, of Catfish Terrace, was arrested Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine. According to warrants, Myers used his Blue Nissan Altima to keep and sell methamphetamine. Myers was found to be in possession of 33 grams of methamphetamine, the warrant says, in addition to being found in possession of methamphetamine while at the Rowan County Detention Center.

Myers was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, driving while license revoked, traffick in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance on a jail premises, and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for a controlled substance. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $345,000 secured bond.

Myers was previously charged in Cabarrus County with possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture, and in Rowan County with maintaining a dwelling, possession with intent to sell, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, breaking and entering and felony breaking and entering.
