Police are investigating a weekend break-in at Sprint after three iPhones were taken from a locked cabinet. Officials say a teen faces felony charges related to the incident.

Salisbury Police charged Taejone Jamone’yea Williams, 17, of the 700 block of Heiligtown Road, with felony breaking and entering a building and felony larceny. The incident occurred Saturday at 1:49 a.m. and Williams’ mother made him turn himself in to authorities Sunday night.

Police were called to the store at 910 E. Innes St., after the alarm sounded. When they arrived, the front glass door was broken and a cabinet that contained four cell phones was broken, as well. A report said three men went inside the store and took one iPhone 6, and iPhone 5s, an iPhone 6S and another iPhone 6 that was later recovered.

Officers spoke with three males about three blocks away from the store not long after the break-in. The officers were able to match the three males they’d spoken with on the street to the surveillance video from the store.

Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said charges are pending against the two others believed to have been involved in the break-in.

Williams was issued a $500 secured bond and has since been released from the Rowan County Detention Center.
