Weather permitting, part of the road near its intersection with South Main Street intersection will close starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The road is expected to remain closed until the work is complete, reopening no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, the Transportation Department said.
During the closure, motorists should use the signed detour route along Webb Road, I-85 North, Peeler Road and South Main Street.
