North Hill’s “Fore the Future” golf tournament is a hole-in-one

With beautiful blue skies overhead and fall colors ablaze, nearly 50 golfers recently teed off in the inaugural North Hills Christian School “Fore the Future” Golf Tournament.

The Captain’s Choice event, held at The Crescent Golf Club in Salisbury, was for the benefit of the students of North Hills. Although every attempt was made to give away a car to anyone making a hole-in-one, the only driving was by golfers hitting long drives!

Congratulations to Shane Wolford, Chip Comadoll, Stan Lamb and Brent Parks, first place team winner of this year’s inaugural event. The winning team shot a low round score of 45 for the tournament. Second place winners were Jeff Sollenberger, Susan Sollenberger, Wayne Rosa and Kyle Mitchell. Coming in a close third place were Bob Humble, Mike Conway, Taz Strickland and Allen Fesperman.

Hitting a monster drive and winning a brand new Nike VRS covert driver was Tinsley Merrell. The winner of a Odyssey putter for closest to the pin was Ashton Frank.

Nearly everyone else was a winner during the raffle drawing following the successful event!

Silver sponsors for the tournament were North Hills Christian School Athletics, Salisbury Orthopaedic Associates, and Yarbrought-Williams & Houle, Inc. Cloninger Ford and Toyota of Salisbury was the Hole-in-One Sponsor. Lunch was provided by Subway and finishing golfers were provided a wonderful salsa bar compliments of Go Burrito. A big thank you also goes out to Pepsi and Cheerwine for providing the drinks. Many other local businesses hit their own “eagles” for the NHCS Eagles by sponsoring holes and providing raffle prizes.

The generous support of our sponsors helped raise funds to continue the mission of North Hills Christian School to “equip the hearts and minds of students to impact the world for Christ.”
