The Livingstone College chapter of the NAACP is holding a rally at 11 a.m. Friday on the institution’s front lawn to show support for University of Missouri students.

Led by the school’s NAACP President Devinae Haywood and Student Government Association President Raven Weathers, the event, being billed as a blackout, will feature a prayer, a song and discussion of the events that led to the resignations of University of Missouri System President Tim Wolfe and Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin.

The event is expected to last about 30 minutes.
