Two Catawba Faculty Attend Convention, Make Presentations
Two Catawba College faculty members recently attended and made presentations at the 67th Annual North Carolina Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport Management Convention held in Winston-Salem in late October.
They were Dr. Jim Hand, associate professor of athletic training and director of athletic training education, and Dr. Tom Appenzeller, associate professor and director of sport management.
Appenzeller presented “Hazing, Bullying and Sexual Abuse in Middle and High Schools.” Appenzeller and Hand presented “Risk Management in Youth Sport: Preventing Injuries and Accidents.”
