Downtown Salisbury Zombie Walk adjusts time
Published 4:44 pm Thursday, November 5, 2015
Due to potential rain for the rescheduled date of Nov. 7, the sixth annual Downtown Zombie Walk time has been revised to 1-5:30 p.m. The walk will begin at 5:30 p.m. off East Fisher Street.
Organizers urge participants to arrive early to register for the walk, especially if they want a makeover (included with registration). All walk participants are required to register as this is a fundraiser event for three nonprofits. The first 1,000 registered participants will receive a souvenir glow-in-the-dark cup.
Bands have been moved indoors to Nashville Nights with performances at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., then Uncle Buck’s All American Pub & Grub with performances at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.
The costume contest winners will be announced directly following the walk at Uncle Bucks All American Pub & Grub. To get a number to participate in the costume contest, go to the kids zone on the corner of East Fisher and South Lee streets. Walkers without a number will not be judged in the costume contest.
Please don’t let the rain keep you away, organizers say; zombies aren’t afraid of a little water. This annual event benefits three groups: The Humane Society of Rowan County, Mr. Mike’s Food Pantry and Downtown Salisbury Inc.
