A Salisbury Police officer has been placed on administrative leave for undisclosed reasons.
Officer Reuben Ijames, 28, was placed on administrative leave on Oct. 21, according to City Manager Lane Bailey.
The length of the leave was yet to be determined, Bailey said Wednesday.
“This involves a personnel matter and I can’t provide any additional information,” Chief of Police Rory Collins said when asked for comment.
Ijames was hired by the Salisbury Police Department in October 2013. He has been serving as a community relations officer. He manned a police substation that the department operated in the West End area briefly.
