Halloween portraits to support Toys for Tots

Tim Coffey Photography will be taking portraits of kids of all ages in their Halloween costumes at the Literary Bookpost in downtown Salisbury on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31.
The only payment required is a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to Toys for Tots, which is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (www.toysfortots.org). New children’s books are also acceptable donations. All the toys and books will be distributed locally.
Coffey is a relatively new transplant to Salisbury by way of Connecticut.
“I did this event for 10 years in Connecticut. It was always such a hit. And we collected a huge amount of toys. It was my favorite event of the year,” he says.
No reservations are needed. Coffey will be taking portraits of kids in costume during the following times:
Friday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The portraits will be ready for pick up at the Literary Bookpost by Thanksgiving, if not sooner. A notice will go out to parents when they are ready.
The Literary Bookpost is located at 110 S. Main St. You can see samples of Coffey’s work online at www.timcoffey.com.
