This Christmas the Salisbury Police Department will give away 140 bicycles and helmets to underprivileged children in Salisbury.

The Police Department is partnering with the Gerry Wood Auto Group to provide the bikes, which will go to children who would otherwise receive little or nothing for the holiday.

Deliveries will be made Dec. 22. Children also residing in the home who are too young to ride a bike will receive a teddy bear.

If you are a parent or guardian and would like to register your child to receive a bicycle, please submit an application at the Salisbury Police Department or another approved location in Salisbury by Dec. 1.
