Downtown workshop on tap this week in Granite Quarry

GRANITE QUARRY — The town of Granite Quarry, in conjunction with a team of consultants led by Arnett Muldrow and Associates of Greenville, S.C., will be conducting a downtown charrette Tuesday through Thursday.

The charrette, or design workshop, is part of the ongoing Granite Quarry Downtown Plan project. The goal of the charrette is to provide Granite Quarry with an ongoing, flexible work plan to guide future revitalization and economic development efforts.

A community input session will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall; a community design session, 6-7 p.m. Thursday.

Tee Coker, a senior Associate with Arnett Muldrow and Associates of Greenville, S.C., will facilitate the charrette. Other charrette team members include: Aaron Arnett and Shawn Terpack of Arnett Muldrow; Randy Wilson, president of Community Design Solutions of Columbia, S.C.; and Andy Kalback of Mahan Rykiel Associates of Baltimore.
