Another cool morning is a hint of things to come.

Tonight begins a string of cool, chilly and then downright cold nights, with frost in the forecast for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The low will be 45 with a northwest breeze around 5 mph.

Thursday will be sunny and a bit cooler, with a high of 68 and north northwest wind at 3-6 mph. Thursday night will be clear and 45 again.

Friday warms back up to 72 under sunny skies, and the wind shifts to the southwest at 3-7 mph. Friday night, we’re still at 45 for a low.

Saturday will be a sunny, cool day with a high of 63. Then you’d better bring in your plants, because the predicted low is 35 — it will be even colder in rural areas.

Sunday will be another great fall day, with a high of 58. The low of 33 will almost certainly dip below freezing in areas of the county.

Monday will be sunny again, with a high of 59 and a low around 37 degrees.

For Tuesday, expect more sun and a high of 64.

You can finally pull out your sweaters in the next few days.
