Author Missy Julian Fox and textile artist/illustrator Elaine O’Neil will introduce and autograph their new book, ‘Road Trip Carolina, A Ride Across the Old North State,’ to children and readers of all ages, on Oct. 9 at the Stitchin’ Post from 5-7 p.m.

Remarks will begin at 5:30 and will be followed by a book signing.

The book travels across the state through four seasons and stops in to visit legendary sites like Grandfather Mountain. It continues through the Piedmont and Sandhills and on to the beach to fly kites at the Wright Brothers Memorial.

Fox says, “So many people have been asking us to do a book about North Carolina. This book captures why we love this state and feel such pride to be a North Carolinian.”

Hillsborough illustrator Elaine O’Neil says, “I have been creating North Carolina scenes for more than a decade now.  For me, this beautiful state never fails to fuel inspiration and ignite a creative spark!”
