Two charged in Friday robbery in Salisbury

Two men were arrested Sunday in connection with a robbery that took place Friday in Salisbury.
Jameel Stephens-Maddox, 22, of the 300 block of Eighth Street, Spencer, and Dawayne Jahquan Means, 22, of the streets of Salisbury, are each charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
According to arrest records, Stephens-Maddox and Means allegedly robbed a victim by pointing a chrome handgun at him. They are charged with stealing $507 and a cellphone valued at $600.
Stephens-Maddox was released on $5,000 bond. At press time, Means was being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
Their first appearance in District Court is set for today.
