Local Bridge with Myrnie McLaughlin

Bridge Club News Returns

Sorry to have missed the article last Sunday. We were away in Yellowstone Park.  If you haven’t been there it’s well worth the trip. Because of this lapse, we need to catch up on many games. Thanks to Dick for running the games.

As a reminder, don’t forget these tournament dates: Oct. 2-4, the sectional in Morganton run by Eldon Clayman, (he always provides a great time) and Oct. 26-Nov. 1 the Charlotte Regional Tournament. This is a great chance for our players wanting Gold points to plan to be there. Gather your teams for knock-out sessions. These still remain your best bet for Gold.

Friday, Sept. 11 Evergreen winners were: First, Anita Graham and Wayne Pegram; second, BettyBonner Steele and Betty Bills; third, Pat Macon and Judy Gealy; fourth, Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh.

Winners at the Tuesday, Sept. 15 Women’s Club game were: First, Fern Albracht and Ron Jeffers; second, Judy Gealy and Pat Macon; third, Nancy Brandt and Tom Johnson.

Friday, Sept. 18 Evergreen game was won by:  First, Nancy Brandt and Tom Johnson; second, Pat Featherston and Dick Brisbin; third, Marie Pugh and Ruth Bowles; fourth, Anita Graham and Wayne Pegram.
