A 3-year-old child was injured Sunday morning when he ran in front of a pickup at the Webb Road Flea Market.

Trooper C.F. Rogers said Marco Perez-Lopez exited a building at the flea market and darted into traffic. A Chevrolet pickup driven by Victoriana Lopez of Lexington hit him. Lopez, who is not related to the child, was driving about 2 miles per hour.

The child, whose injuries did not appear life-threatening, was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

No charges were filed.
