Prep Football: Wonders 4-0

KANNAPOLIS — A.L. Brown won 23-9 against Mooresville at Memorial Stadium on Friday and is off to a 4-0 start.
It’s the first 4-0 start for the Wonders since 2007.
Jayln Cagle returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and had a 20-yard scoring run to lead the Wonders.
Cagle had 12 carries for 55 yards, three catches for 31 yards and a fumble recovery.
Sandon McCoy had 15 carries for 48 yards
Damon Johnson was 9-for-20 passing for 54 yards.
The Wonders’ defense turned in its fourth straight strong outing.
Mooresville fell to 2-2.
Josh Armstrong connected on a 36-yard field goal for an early 3-0 Mooresville lead. Caleb Klucking had a rushing TD for the Blue Devils.
