The Price of Freedom Museum will have a Remembrance of 9/11 Saturday, Sept. 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the museum, 2420 Weaver Road, China Grove (intersection of Patterson and Weaver roads).

They will celebrate “Memories of Yesteryears.” People can look at restored farm equipment and vehicles while listening to Gospel and bluegrass music from local groups. They can also view the progress being made on the restoration of the Patterson School.
Again this year, the program will include a lot of fire, police, rescue and emergency equipment. There will be old and new firetrucks, old and new police cars and other equipment on display. They will have the Smoke House for the community to go through, as well as fire safety for the children.
Backyard BBQ will be sponsored and sold by We Care Ministry of Oak Grove Baptist Church in China Grove. Food tickets are available in advance for $7. Call 704-857-3208 to place your order.
