• Community cookout Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tower of Power United Holy Church, 601 E. Cemetery St., with food, gospel music by Cliff Roseboro and band, vendors, NAACP membership drive, voter registration drive, door prizes, testimonies by ex-offenders, more. 

• J.C. Price Post 107 original Sunday night dance, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Music by DJ Aaron S. New and old music, line dancing and requests. Refreshments. Neat attire, no athletic gear. Prizes and raffles. Must be 21 with proper ID. Security present. $5.
