Naples Cafe offers Italian, Chinese cuisine

Kimberly Sikes has opened a restaurant called Naple’s Café where both Italian and Chinese food are on the menu.

Sikes has been open at the site of the old Rick’s Barbecue at 929 S. Main St. for over two months. The restaurant has karaoke on Monday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and offers delivery and catering.

Although the restaurant is in a new location, it is not entirely new. The restaurant started out at the old Salisbury Mall in a much smaller setting. It originally began as a Chinese Restaurant, but then Sikes bought the place and made it her own. Since the Salisbury Mall’s closing, business slowed, and not many people knew the restaurant existed. Sikes knew they had to relocate in order to get more business.

She says that the Italian food and Chinese food are both evenly popular among customers and that she has been relying on word of mouth to get people to her new location. In addition to having Chinese and Italian, the restaurant also has a fair selection of classic foods including wings and burgers.

“We have really good specials,” says Sikes. There a total of 10 lunch specials including Chicken over Lo Mein and a drink, Lasagna with a salad, garlic bread and a drink and a Philly hoagie with fries and a drink.

She confidently stated, “We have the best Italian food in Salisbury.”

More reasons people should eat at Naple’s Café, Sikes said, are that “our service is very friendly, our food is very good and you’ll be satisfied with our service.”

Naple’s Cafe is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, call the restaurant at 704-633-0040.
