Rowan weather: Heat index over 100 today, Tuesday

We can expect a high of 96 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with little to no wind. There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 4 p.m. which lasts into the evening. The low will be 72.
Tuesday brings the highest chance of rain, 50 percent, in the late morning into the afternoon. It will be partly sunny with another hot high of 95 and a heat index around 100 degrees. A west wind will pick up to 5-7 mph in the afternoon.
The chance of rain plummets Tuesday night to 20 percent, with a low of 72.
A 30 percent chance of showers remains Wednesday, mostly in the late afternoon, with partly sunny skies and a high of 91. Wednesday night also has a chance of showers and storms, with a low of 69.
Then the highs will a bit less severe for a couple of days, but there’s no mention of rain.
Thursday will be partly sunny and 88, with a low of 69.
Friday will be partly sunny and 90, with a low of 69 again.
The weekend ahead looks to be calm and quite warm, with a high Saturday near 90 under mostly sunny skies and a low again of 69.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, too, with a high of 89.
