Rowan Little League 12U softball captured the District 2 championship with a 6-2 victory over defending state champion East Surry 6-2. Rowan went 4-0 in district play. It defeated Northwest Forsyth 23-0, Davie Little League 12-1 and East Surry 19-2 leading up to another showdown with East Surry. Rowan travels to Washington for the state tournament, which starts July 18. Rowan Little League swept the District 2 titles with titles in the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U age groups.
