So by now, everyone has too much squash coming in and the annual debate about what to do with it.

We’d like to hear your ideas for cooking squash. Do you have the best squash casserole ever? Can you fry up a batch that will make mouths water?

We’ll publish your recipes, so please give complete ingredient lists and instructions, along with your ideas for making use of all those bright yellow signs of summer.

Takeway for Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is having a Takeaway Fundraiser in conjunction with Outback Steakhouse July 1-31.

Tickets are $15 each and include a choice of a 6-ounce sirloin, grilled chicken or salmon, served with two sides and cheesecake. This is for takeaway only, no dining in the restaurant.

For each ticket sold, Meals on Wheels will bet a percentage of sales. Tickets are limited and may be bought by call the Meals on Wheels office at 704-633-0352.
