•Caroline Mae Billingsley of Salisbury, daughter of Kim & David Billingsley.

High school clubs/ sports: Student Government Association (Student Body President), Marching Band – Trumpet, Horn-line Captain, Volleyball, Key Club, Boys Varsity Basketball Statistician.

Other extra-curricular activities, honors:Valedictorian, Girl Scouts- recipient of Girl Scout Gold Award, volunteer at Novant Health Pharmacy and Rowan Helping Ministries Food Pantry.

Advice to freshmen: Be open to trying new things and finding your niche. You will find friends with common interests, so don’t be afraid to be yourself.

Favorite high school memory: A beach trip with my best friends and getting the chance to experience Governor’s school during my senior year.

Proudest high school moment: Receiving the honors of Student Body President and Valedictorian. Knowing my work with my peers and in my academics had been recognized was an amazing feeling.

If I had $10 million, I would: Put it into a bank account to draw interest. The resulting finances I would use to pay any college debts and start my life as an adult.

•Morgan Elisabeth Bruce of Salisbury, daughter of Kim and Mike Bruce.

High school clubs/ sports: Student Council (SGA- senior class VP), National Honor Society (VP), Key Club, varsity women’s tennis, and varsity women’s soccer.

Other extra-curricular activities, honors: Pianist in Trading Ford Student Ministry’s worship band, mentor with Camp Discovery, and Student Serve with TFSM.

Advice to freshmen: Start out strong because once you get down, it’s really hard to get back up.

Favorite high school memory: The crazy things my friends and I did while being a media assistant.

Proudest high school memory: Being inducted into National Honor Society, and then voted Vice President.

If I had $10 million, I would: Open a physical therapy practice to help people with special needs.

•Francisco Javier Nunez-Ariza of Salisbury, son of Elizabeth Ariza Rodriguez & Francisco Martinez.

High school clubs/ sports: Track and Field, National Honor Society, Cross Country, Swimming, Key Club.

Other extracurricular activities, honors: 75th American Legion Tar Heel Boys’ State, North Carolina Scholar.

Advice to freshman: Persistence.

Favorite high school memory: None.

Proudest high school moment: Being inducted into NHS.

If I had $10 million, I would: Invest, open a CD account, donate to charity, and create a scholarship.”
