The 2 percent raise the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education included in its county budget request would have applied to total compensation for all employees, says Dr. Lynn Moody, superintendent. For teachers that would have been salary and supplement.

An editorial in Wednesday’s Post mentioned only teacher supplements.

Commissioners have not endorsed the 2 percent across-the-board approach to date, so Moody is taking another approach. “In scenarios with only $250,000 we’ll create, it will probably be percentage increases to supplement only due to the small dollars if it is for certified only,” she said in an email to the Post.
