- Submitted photo by Robin Allen The Special Olympics Torch Run passed through Salisbury on Wednesday morning, escorted by members of the Rowan County Peace Officers, the Salisbury High School track team and the Salisbury Rowan Runners. The torch was escorted from Airport Road to the Davidson County line, a route of approximately 12 miles.
