Rowan-Cabarrus to hold next board meeting Monday

At the 4 p.m. board meeting, Bill Cannon and Ed Norvell, co-chairs of the Foundation’s major gifts campaign, will be recognized and present an update on the Building a More Prosperous Community Campaign.
Information items and proposed recommendations will be presented by the RCCC’s Academic and Student Engagement and Building and Grounds committees.
In addition the highlights mentioned above, the Board of Trustees meeting agenda includes: recognition of the “Digital Community Colleges Top Ten Winners;” Community College Awareness Month; an update from the Student Government Association; an update on the Scholarship Luncheon, STEM Fair, Rowan-County Bond Project BBQ for Building 600, the Literary and Fine Arts Festival and the upcoming Center for Teaching and Learning Summer Institute and the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Spring Graduation on May 15 at 4 p.m.
Prior to the board meeting, and in lieu of a Strategic Conversation, the college will hold a tea and brief presentation at 3 p.m. for the its Literary & Fine Arts Festival in Room 251A, covering the festival and the college’s affiliation with the Salisbury Sculpture Show.
Board members and guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the college’s two new sculptures and view them in the North Campus courtyard.
The next meeting of the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees is scheduled for Monday at 4 p.m., at the North Campus in the Paradowski Boardroom. The North Campus is located at I-85 (exit 75) and Jake Alexander Blvd., in Salisbury.
