Teen charged with felony possession of firearm

Demanuelle Tyyan Fincher, 19, of the 600 block of Linn Road was charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

According to his arrest warrant, Fincher, who was convicted with common law robbery in 2013, had a 22-caliber pistol. He also had marijuana paraphernalia, including smoking pipes, scales, a glass jar with marijuana residue in it and a gas mask.

Fincher is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond.

• Jason Brian Harris, 17, of the 100 block of Pearl Street was charged with misdemeanor simple assault.

His arrest warrant says he pushed a fellow teen “about the stomach” and slapped her down with an open hand.

Harris will appear before a judge 48 hours after arrest, at which terms for is release will be decided.

• Christian Glenn Whitley, 18, of the 1000 block of Percy Lane was charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, felony breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.

According to his arrest warrant, Whitley stole an iPhone valued at $650 from a 2006 Dodge Ram on March 22.

He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

• Dominic Roshad Corradetti, 16, of the 1300 block of North Church Street was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia for having a green grinder, misdemeanor possession of a handgun by a minor for having a 22-caliber handgun and misdemeanor possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana.

Corradetti was issued a $2,500 bail.

• Denzelle Tyron Wright, 20, of the 500 block of South Church Street was charged with misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor resisting a public officer Friday.

According to his arrest warrant, Wright stole $168.54 worth of merchandise from Walmart and fled from a police officer after multiple commands to stop.

Wright was issued a $2,500 bond.
