Blotter: Man never received shoes after purchase on social media

In sheriff’s reports:

• A man reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office that he purchased a pair of shoes on Instagram from a man that lived in Georgia. The man reported to sheriff’s deputies that money was sent to the Georgia man, but the shoes were never received.

• Tyler James Sherrill, 19, of 406 Sunset Drive, was charged Wednesday with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to manufacture.

• A man on Wednesday reported a domestic disturbance on the 100 block of  Trading Path Court.

• An inmate at the Rowan County Detention Center on Wednesday reported an inmate stole his canteen.

• A woman on Wednesday reported her credit card and some cash had been stolen on the 1200 block of Oak Breeze Drive.

• A woman reported tax fraud Wednesday on the 3200 block of Cauble road.

• Kayla Leigh Brown, 28, of 345 Scaley Bark Drive, was charged Wednesday with possessing stolen goods.

• Penny Lea Johnson, 46, of 324 Cedarbrook Drive, was charged Wednesday with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer.

In Salisbury Police reports:

• A man reported a motor vehicle theft Wednesday on the 1100 block of South Main Street.

• Rushco No. 9, on the 900 block of South Jake Alexander Boulevard, reported shoplifting on Wednesday.

• A man on Wednesday reported his motorcycle was stolen on the 300 block of Henry Laurens Circle.

• A woman on Wednesday reported a burglary on the 900 block of Richard Street.

• Shaqueesha J. Mills, 22, was charged Thursday with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance at the intersection of South Long and Moore streets.

• Keith Bynum, 46, was charged Thursday with two counts of misdemeanor larceny on the 300 block of South Arlington Street in Salisbury.

• Catherine Linn Greely, 35, was charged Thursday with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance on the 100 block of North Long Street.
