Just in time for the sweetest holiday of the year, Dunkin’ Donuts is bringing back two varieties of its heart-shaped donuts, Cookie Dough and Brownie Batter, while introducing White Chocolate Raspberry Coffee and Lattes.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ Brownie Batter Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with chocolatey brownie batter flavored buttercreme filling, topped with chocolate icing and heart sprinkles. The Cookie Dough Donut is a heart-shaped donut with cookie dough flavored buttercreme filling, topped with chocolate icing and chocolate chips. Both heart-shaped donuts are available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Salisbury area through the end of February.

White Chocolate Raspberry Coffee and Lattes are sprinkled with a red, pink and white hearts topping.

And at Chick-fil-A, you can get heart shaped biscuits on Feb. 14, 6 a.m.-10:30 a.m., and even indulge in a Valentines Dinner on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Wait, what? On Thursday, you will get tableside service and can participate in Valentine’s activities. February is also free coffee month — you can get a small hot coffee or a medium iced coffee.

Sugar six ways

Now, back to sweet food. The Florida State Fair, like the North Carolina State Fair, is all about food and what kind of crazy concoctions will be the newest craze.

Well, Florida has its fair now, instead of the fall, and among the offerings is a cheeseburger plopped between two squares of uncooked ramen noodles, and a funnel cake cheeseburger.

But if you want something sticky and sweet, go for what’s called a Sticky Pig. It’s pumpkin custard between two Krispy Kreme donuts, then dipped in chocolate, rolled in graham cracker crumbs with marshmallow and maple syrup.

What more can you say?
